E. Quinton Oil Painting, Lakeside

This oil on board painting features a hidden cottage at a mountainside lake, reminiscent of the French Alps or Voges mountains. Signed "E. Quinton" in the lower right. Oil on art board.

Son of Clement Quinton, Edmond Quinton is a known French painter active in the impressionist / naturalist style of painting. Edmond lived from 1892-1969, he was most active in the 1930's and 1940's, painting scenes of France. This piece is truly a legacy piece, something that can be handed down from generation to generation, as comps online are going for $700-$1300.
